by #angeligov begins as a very straightforward #roadtrip novel. With the passing of pages, the story starts revealing its different layers. Is this a #comingofage story? Is it a reflection on #european identity? And why everyone gets to say something about Elena except Elena herself? That’s quite the literary accomplishment, in my opinion. #igov tells the story of someone without asking the person’s input directly. Can you form an opinion about someone when you only hear other people’s stories about that person? Are parts of our identities inevitably formed by people’s stories and opinions about us whether we like it or agree with it? I do have to say. I wish Igor would have been a bit more centered in the stories he chose or pick just one or two. Either way, I think this is an interesting and compelling story and deserves to be read more widely. #recommended#bulgarianliterature#thasos#samothraki#rhodes#smolyan#rudozem#ангелигов#краткаприказказасрама#thrace#θάσος#ρόδος#openletter
