Staying in the #gulfofguinea we jump from #lagos to #accra . If you are not familiar with the #noirseries from the amazing people at #akashicbooks , I have no idea what you are waiting for. They are all a great way to “travel” in these Corona times, enjoy stories from well-known writers or discover one of two news ones. After devouring it in a few days, #accranoir is now one of my favorite ones in the series. #anthologies of any kind are always tricky to put together. However, here you have both the suspense, intriguing angle AND the tour around the different neighborhoods and people of Accra framing the #shortstories . The stories I enjoyed the most were written by #nanaekuabrewhammond , #adjoatwum , #annesackey and the editor #nanaamadanquah . #accran life gets a chance to come into the spotlight and shine on both what the story is telling you and your baggage as a reader. #highlyrecommended #ghanianliterature #kumasi #goldcoast #akashic #mysteryreading
