This is a very moving, tender and at times very soft porn like #lovestory of two men in #beijing The book is considered a landmark of #chinese queer literature and rightly so. If anything it’s just extremely interesting to see the love story develop with #tiananmen and all the rapid economic reforms in the background transforming Chinese society into a more capitalist and individualistic one. It’s also a story about the fluidity of our sexual identities and how do we ultimately define the object of our affection. #beitong wrote this novella online in chat rooms and blogs. Therefore there’s a slight lack of cohesion among the chapters.
