The Gila River War Relocation Center was one of two Japanese #internmentcamps settled by the US government in #arizona . This particular #japaneseinternmentcamp was built on land from the #gilariverindianreservation without their consent and with complete legal and governmental guarantees. Layers upon layers of #trauma that #silko highlights so masterfully through every character. In that context, there is an impossibility of chapters, of divisions, of separation between the you and the I. There is just the continuum.
