So let’s get #mytranscanadaweek started! #deaththreat is my first encounter with the one and only #vivekshraya . I’m SO glad I gave this book a chance. It’s published by the amazing people at #arsenalpulpress . So I knew I had to give it a read. A lot people love to talk about making the best out of difficult situations or trying to see trauma and pain as opportunities. But that’s not an easy thing to do at all. The most marvelous thing happening in this book is how much potential it has to become a roadmap for healing and how much it’s a personal process. #shraya doesn’t shy away from making this struggle one in which she shows herself vulnerable, weak but also powerful and radiant. This is a #graphicnovel that aims to show us a way out of hate and anger. Shraya perfectly combines all the elements here to offer us a voyage into the pernicious side of rapid online accessibility and spread of online hate but also how to resist, to survive and to shine. #highlyrecommended#vancouver #genderqueerlit#beautifulillustrations #canlit#transcanada #canadianliterature#trolls #translivesmatter#againstallodds #whataboutcomics#queercomics #queercanada#transcanadian
