Another #historicalfictionbook that begins promising and ends up so-so. The first 100 pages captivated me pretty quickly. But then #angelwagensteingets into a cascade of implausible and rushed events which makes you wonder where is it all heading and more importantly are you sure you want to go there. #wagenstein is perhaps aiming more at the #cinematographic aspects of the story while failing to strongly develop the relationships among the characters. Such much promise with a weak ending. The element of #music #classicalmusic and how it remains vivid throughout the story is probably my favorite part. The rest ends abruptly and inconsequentially and I still don’t know why.
