This is the kind of novel that you call formative in so many different levels: individual, group, community, nation. Too honest, too #berber and too direct, this novel got #banned in several Arab countries including his own #morocco . Kudos to the censors for their literary taste! This is indeed a dangerous and gut wrenching story we should all read. Although I hesitate to recommend it.
