Please bear with me for a few seconds while I continue to indulge in #kawabata I’m now at the point when I just see his name on a book and I have to purchase it. This gem from #vintageinternational even comes with an introduction by #yukiomishima And I’m so glad I did buy it! #houseofthesleepingbeauties was as sharp and twisted as I was expecting it to be if not more. I believe I have said this before. I think a writer does not need more than a few pages to disturb you, shake you up and challenge you. #yasunarikawabata does that and also embellishes it all with his eerie #paranoid and psychological prose. Books like this one are simply the main reason why I read.
