A novel with little talk and a lot of #sorrow that’s how the characters in #seeingpeopleoff would dream about writing themselves. I think that line speaks volumes of what #janabenova aimed at here. This tiny book would definitely please two type of readers. First, those interested in what’s the current literary scene coming out of #bratislava and to some extent #slovakia or even #centraleurope . I warn you that although you might arrive here thinking it’s going to be a window in contemporary lives in this particular city or country, the book might instead turn into a mirror of your own sorrows, shattered dreams and constant failures. It’s a highly pessimistic, experimental and #introspective reading. And that’s the second type of reader which will find this book quite the ride.
