I’m slightly familiar with the work of #hajin So I’m intrigued to read more. However this was just an OK book. The story is predictable and the drama does not really hold up to the twists and intrigues #jin would like to create. If anything I think some passages describing the #paranoia of #diasporas from #dictatorial and highly #censored countries are #eyeopening and #thoughtprovokingHow much our own #diaspora is an extension of the same demons and negativities we claimed to have escaped from.
