This book is psychotic, tender, raw and deceptive. It’s simply a #rollercoasterofemotions . And to top it all, the writing is impeccable. #nataliaginzburg writes a #novella as deceivingly simple as an unnamed narrator who makes a confession in the very first page: “I shot him between the eyes.” And after those lines, why would you continue to read the rest? What can #ginzburg be able to add in not even 100 pages? [Insert sarcastic laugh here.] #thedryheart or #èstatocosi will make you doubt yourself, hate and love the narrator and challenge that same initial sentence all in a handful of pages. To be honest, I’m immensely biased towards everything Ginsburg writes. To me, she’s writing from the perfect combination of precise complexity and chaotic silences. It’s not just all the things our #unnamednarrator couldn’t express herself, but also all the clues she couldn’t discern. This book is a perfectly synchronized dance of misunderstandings and denials. #highlyrecommended #italianliterature#estatocosi #sanremo #psychological#monologue #nyrb #turin #torino#killingyourhusband #lovetriangle#dryheart #èstatocosì
