#theencounter is literally a tale of several #encounters between present and past selves. The main character returns to #romania to encounter his family members and #childhood friends and so on without really realizing how much his past has changed. I kept thinking this encounter could have also been called the #return . #adamesteanu reflects on a particular encounter before, during and after professor Traian #manu returns to #cărbunești from the US. Besides the people to people encounters and its inevitable awkward and unexpected twists, I loved the encounters of Prof. Many with himself. He is a constant dialogue with his old self as well as that theoretical future self once the encounter takes place.
