What a charming, marvelous and whimsical book! In under a 100 pages, #ursulakovalyk will enthrall and make you live the story. #karolína had the immense luck against all her desire to live through the last days of the #sovietdictated #Czechoslovak #socialist republic. So you get to see this #comingofage story played against the socialist, revolutionary and eventual capitalist backgrounds. However #kovalyk does not force that socio political background on the story. Quite the contrary, Karolina is so outspoken, free and vivid that she seems the one dictating the course of history at least her history for sure. Regardless of how dark or positive the story gets, this is Karolina’s story and you get to hear it from her side first row. Everyone interested in that period should definitely read this book. But even more so, everyone thirsty for a #teenager story involving #horses , #knifes and #pinkfloyd .
