Sometimes you have a great premise, interesting storyline and sadly the execution comes out lackluster to say the least. The main problem with #thingsbrightandbeautiful is the obscene amount of secondary characters it seems to have. By the time an actual plot line catches your interest #salam seems to think it’d be best to add yet another #secondarycharacter. It all feels very claustrophobic but I’m not sure it’s for the correct reasons. My take is that she probably thought to populate this story with lots of voices just in the same a #jungle can be described as a mysterious and overwhelming cacophony. Everything becomes more and more dense and at the end you might feel lost and asphyxiated. I’d like to think that #anbarasalam was going for that and perhaps strained from her goal.
