#thishouseismine is at times a beautiful and intricate story until it all becomes too complex to follow and repetitive. For sure, this book will speak to those with roots of currently in this region in #germany . Clearly #dortehansen had those readers in mind when crafting this story and the way the characters (and the plot?) seem so connected and developing in a silent and seemingly way. Having said that, I personally struggled to penetrate the core and the deep connections in the story. Instead, I decided to concentrate my attention in the pristine and romantic language. #hansen does not spare a moment to draw the reader’s attention to what’s left unsaid or the missed moments building the tension generation after generation. Again, that’s all beautiful and great to read.
