Written from an honest and #soulful point of view, it’s also a #monologue peppered with episodes of #zimbabwean history, difficult encounters with #racism and #apartheid both abroad and inside the county, and a catalogue of #localtraditions and #waysoflife. The writing is both endearing and poignant. #nozipomaraire will remind you of your mother. The main difference is that #Maraire aims to convince and entice us with her well-constructed argument and beautiful words. On the other hand after a few words, my mom would have hit me several times in an insane and devilish way and then we would go out for a drink. Hehehehe.
